Anyone here remember the Yugo? I think that turned out to be a big flop as well.

I always joked that a rebuild kit for the engine was a rubber band in a blister pack!

OMG, I actually worked at a large Chevy dealer who dealt the Yugo for a short period of time. Talk about total junk! I ran the used car conditioning department and every time I had one of those come in on trade the same problems had to be fixed. The window cranks would break as they were very cheap plastic, the speaker covers on the doors would fall off and be long gone, the locks would just stop working and I had to have a locksmith come out a re-key them, I could go on and on.

The sad part of all of this is that it will probably end up being a sought after collectible in years to come.

As a "car guy" I had quite a few people ask me if I thought it was a good car to buy. I believe they were around $3995 brand new at the time (1987ish). I gave them all the same answer. Take the same money and buy an American car with a small V8 like an Olds Cutlass as there were tons of those around. I told them the used car would long outlast the Yugo.

My point exactly. The less of them there is the harder it is to find and the more valuable it would/"should" be. To someone actually looking for one that is. You know some place. ???
Maybe there will be a Yugo Museum some day?Wouldn't that be a hoot? We laugh about it now....we may be crying later for not snagging up those cars when we could have. NOT!!

Man, I hope not! I really must have the stupidest face you could have on. I don't know what my problem is, I should have a lot more things to worry about, which I do, but man, I think I need treatment. I want to drive them off the road!!!!Comment

The heck with the speedometer, GPS is the way to go as you'll know dead on!
That's what most of my friends use on their vintage Kaws (the modified ones anyway) as the factory speedometers were pretty inaccurate even when they were new.

Yea man what a day, Had to drop the deck on the mower, chane belt, blades, oil, solenoid. The cut down a huge pine that got hit by lighting, took it out at the base with ropes in on shot, lucky I still have a roof. Then changed the fuel pump on the stang, it was leaking a little from the diaphragm, that was easy, But was at the bar at 12:30 of so for the Gators game. Nice win. Lucky I a a friends help though.Comment

You did have a heck of a day! I don't envy you taking down that tree. I just finally got the last of my old willow tree out of my back yard. It was huge and took 3 years (doing a bit at a time) to get that POS completely gone.
Glad you got it all done and still had time for some fun!!
Hopefully tomorrow Jr. and I will put up our new 10' X 12' metal shed. We tore down the old wooden 8 by 8 last Sunday and that sucked. I think we killed a million wasps and at least thirty nests.
I am out of room in our 2 1/2 car garage thanks to Maggy's Sponge Bob collection and all my Kaws so we need the extra space badly.
