OK fine members of this community. I come to you all today cause it is labor day. There are a few of you i have shared this info with for the rest of you here goes. I had a brother growing up who was 2 years older than i was. I don't remember exactly how old i was, but maybe 5 or so my brother was diagnosed with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. My life would change at a very young age. Duchenne's debilitates the muscles. In my brothers case his heart stopped May 1st 1989. He lived till he was almost 20 and that is a long life for Duchenne's. I saw his friends all die before him. I can't even begin to explain the stuff i saw and dealt with during the young years of my life.
Some of the places we had to go to get care for him had several of life's unfortunate who dealt with several different ailments. I would not change anything. My brother and my experiences molded me into the person i am today. Some day there will be a cure and I will see it. I ask of you today, and i know times are tough but even if it is only a dollar, please donate to MDA. Bet most didn't know it's also tax deductible. My brother may not have been able to walk but his brain was beautiful and he was brilliant during the 17 years we had. It has been very emotional typing this up. So i'm going to stop here and just submit it. Thanks for a minute of your time.

God Bless you and your Brother . . . MDA is always on my list . . . when we were young we put together carnivals for our neighborhood. Great Memories and at the end of the day we would all hop in one of our Dad's Station wagons and head up to Six Flags Over Texas where they collected the donations.

That is so sad to hear that type of news. I feel for you and your family for your tragic loss. I know this certainly will not help to bring your Brother back, but I am definitely willing to donate to the cause.
