Why on Earth? Watermelon candy and so forth

I've about chewed my way through a bag full of bubble gum we got for trick or treaters. Why on Earth do they make watermelon gum? I don't chew it, my kids wait until that's all that's left before they do. Watermelon is always the uneaten jollyy ranchers. Watermelon is the Special K cerial of the variety pack around here.

What is your why on Earth do they make this?

Watermelon is the best Jolly Rancher there is. Feel free to save them and send them to me. My wife says they're horrible and smelly also and won't be near me when I eat them. Incredibly I always seem to find a bag to enjoy when there is a baseball game on or every football Sunday. HMMMM Peace and quiet, and sports, and my laptop and Jolly Ranchers. Could life get any better? I don't think so. Send em on!!!

I've always liked watermelon flavored gum/jolly ranchers. It doesn't really taste like watermelon, but then, most artificial "fruit-flavored" candy doesn't taste like its inspiration.

OK, admittedly I'm only sane when it comes to candy flavors, and amen on the fake grape stuff.

Gotta say I love watermelon-flavored candy. IMHO, the nastiest candy flavor has to be when you hit those banana flavored candies.

I finally had to forbid the kids from eating sour apple candy in the car. I'll try anything once, and I've eaten stuff that would make a maggot gag, but I can't handle sour apple. The odour kind of reminds me of old paint from the '60s.

I'm strictly a chocolate or potato chips guy. All those other kinds of candies taste terrible and fake to me.

watermelon? count me in as part of the watermelon cult---love it

what ant said about sour apple being the equivalent of a paint product is dead on
-----but I think that the potent tart (to the point of extreme) taste is part of the
appeal for me----love it

cherry candy? don't hate it----but I never eat it unless its all there is 'cause it always
seemed the most boring of candy flavors--- along with "orange"

when it comes to "basic flavors" lemon, lime and grape are preferable

when it came to chuckles, I prefered lemon, lime, licorice and whatever that "white" one was

Love the Grape, Banana, Sour Apple and Watermelon flavored candy, etc. I must really be crazy!
