Match Game '08

Now that game shows are getting a slight bit of attention and they are bringing back Password, I was joking... OK, not joking, but seriously suggesting to some people in our programming division that they should bring back Match Game. I even think you could still cheap out on the prizes if you kept the risque humor.

My question is- Who do you think should sit along C-list celebrity row? And more importantly, who should host?

As far as celebs, I was thinking maybe Mario Cantone, David Hasslehoff, Flavor Flav, Jenny McCarthy, Adam West, Maureen McCormick... people who hold some interest, some personality and might seem a little drunk.

Unfortunately... Kathy Griffith would most definitely be on the show. She's the perfect fit.

Actually whatever network took it they'd get tones of self promotion by booking thier comedy stars as guests.

Actually I'm not sure why this isn't back on by now.

I'm not sure who to have as host. Shatner maybe? Just going by how he hosted that Show Me The Money one he had.

Shatner would make a great guest. Hate to over play the guy but Drew Carey would be a good host. Here's an obscure one for a guest... Bonnie Hunt.

Just look at anyone that appeared on the Surreal Life or Dancing with the Stars and that should give you a pretty good start.

Shat would make a great host, but I think his level of success is just a bit above right now with Boston Legal.

Andy Dick and Farrah are excellent suggestions. And yeah, I hate admitting it, too, but Griffin is a perfect fit.

Jerry Stiller would be a great host or Jason Alexander.

I would love to see this but I can't imagine a network (even a cable one) allowing what Gene charles etc got away with. I think you would end up with a hacky copy like Whoppies version of Hollywood squares.

For a host if it went on Mike Rowe from Dirty jobs is a very funny guy in unrehearsed activity and scripted stuff too. He has the wit and timig to nicely fill Gene Rayburns blazer

It would be nice if they did bring back the morning Game shows. It would make my Friday work form home very nice.
