Is There A Song You Like....

...that has been recorded any number of times by famous artist and you like it no matter no matter who did it?

For me it is "Early Morning Rain".

A Gordon Lightfoot song. Bob Dylan did a version that I can't find to post. However..

"If Not For You" Dylan wrote it and sang it...George Harrison did it and it was a hit...and Olivia Newton John did it and it became a bigger hit....all three versions are fantastic.

"Without You" Written by Badfinger and performed by Badfinger ...then performed by Nilson and became a huge hit for him....and then finally performed by Mariah Carey and it became a huge hit again...All three versions are great.

"Forever Young" Written and performed by Dylan and then became a monster hit with Rod Stewart...both are great versions of the same song.

"Jersey Girl" Great Tom Waits song and performed by Waits...but Bruce just brought it to another level.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
      The beauty that surrounds them
      Isn't it a pity".

      - "Isn't It A Pity"
      By George Harrison

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Well.., don't know about anyone else, but there are songs that make me pause and stop.., and really can't do anything until the song is finished.

Y'know, the ones that make you totally stop in your tracks..

                "Whiter Shade of Pale"
                "Bridge Over Troubled Water"
                "Jumpin' Jack Flash"
                "Green-Eyed Lady"
                "Tuesday Afternoon"
                "Paperback Writer"
"Always Something There to Remind Me"
"Maybe I'm Amazed" (Live Wings '76 Version only)

..and a few more I can't recall at this moment.

That's the one I was gonna say. The Ventures version from their "Live in Japan" album is a personal favorite.

Kind of a corny one but I always liked You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) by Dead or Alive and then Flo-Ri-Da had a remake and I actually like it.
