If you don't think a book is going to make you any money, I would understand. I know a few photographers who sell pictures to various stock photo repositories and make enough to pay some bills.

The area in WV and Ohio by Wheeling is ripe with opportunities for this kind of project. I have spent some time driving around those areas, and there are some great americana type shots to be had. Consider going to MegoMeet and spending some time to and from the airport exploring the Ohio River area.

You just follow those two guys around from Master Pickers. It seems like everywhere they go has a lot of run down building and rusted metal in peoples' yards....sad really.

For me, the subject matter couldn't be more interesting and as noted, you have a really good eye and nice technical skills.

A good friend of mine is really into taking pictures like this, as well. We enjoy his work enough to indulge him the opportunity to stop and take these kind of shots when we road-trip.
