    Well...

I love being able to talk toys w/ folks who don't think I've lost my mind and need to grow up. I love that I met cool folks like Scott and Jessica and Juan. I love being reminded of things from my past I haven't thought of in years. I love the feeling of community.

I hate that there aren't more females here. I hate when the board is slow and there are hardly any posts. I hate the trolls that come around sometimes.

I like the wide range of members that we have here. The fact that there is so much talent here. The majority of the members here are very friendly and easy to get a long with and have a good sense of humor. I love the many posts and different topics and the interaction with the cool members.

I dislike that there always has to be at least one arse in the bunch to make the others look bad. That is the way that it goes some times though. I kind of hate it when it is slow here to. It does not happen real often as it is usually pretty fast paced and busy here. Things like that do happen from time to time though with any place. Whatcha gonna do?

Maybe if I would not stay online all day and keep hitting the new post button every five seconds my issue would be solved as far as slow posts are concerned.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

Except for friends I talk to on Facebook, this is "the" forum I come to to hear news, stories and share things with people. Beyond Mego's I find everyone here is into at least 1 other thing I like: Comics, Sci-Fi, TV, Film, art, music and the list goes on. I belong to some model kit forums but don't really talk to people there as much as I do here. I don't go to the Star Trek forums or Doctor Who forums either tho people would think I do. People here seem to be mostly grown-up in their attitudes and not like disgruntled children who can't get their way.

I hate that we can't use certain curse words. I think we are mostly grown-ups here and I don't think we need to enforce a PG rating on the forums. I don't think we are attracting many young children to the hobby.

I hate that we don't attract more female members here. That could be because of the ratio of male Mego toys to Female Mego toys. You can see it in all the new lines being made. That is something I think can be corrected now that we are in the 21st century. Women would like to see more female characters as Mego's too. Women want to customize figures, ( beyond the sewing of costumes level). I think what is needed is a wider variety of new female bodies in the marketplace to represent more fictional characters.

Sharry, very well said. Toys should be for any age! I like the nostalgia that everyone digs up, too. I like the no curse words policy. I hear enough bad words just walking down the street. I like coming somewhere where that is not the norm.
          It's all good!

Exactly well said I feel the exact same.
I would also like to add that this place is the cutting edge of new mego and mego like.
            Best marketplace ever!!!
            Also the fantastic customs!!!
I've learned so much going through the archives it isn't even funny.

Obviously I like just about everything.

My biggest gripe: That I never get to see a lot of you, and the rest only once or twice a year.

Pretty much my sentiments exactly; I'd love to get to meet everyone and hang out. That's why I'm gonna go to mego meet for sure next year. I'm actually really gonna try to head up North next month to that burger place to hang with Sharry, Jess, Hec and whoever else shows up.

What I like most is the fact that I've "met" so many people and made so many friends half way accross the world. The down side is I've only met 2 in person... so far.

This place has become my virtual lounge. I come here when I just want escape, relax, ***** a little among friends and of course share insights with a group of people that share a common interest that holds a very large part f my childlike heart, Megos.

Love the talent on here and the nice people that are really into the hobby, more so the customizing. Plus all the information that pops up and discussions. Getting a cross section perspective from different views and minds.
Only met one person locally and wish I could meet more of you.
Door is always open to whomever wants to visit Seattle.
As for a MEGO Meet West, doesn't look good. But I can entertain the idea of people wanting to come hang out for a BBQ.

The trolls and the low numbers of female collectors are the downsides.

The trolls are actually in VERY low numbers but because 99.999999 percent of the people here are all really cool it makes the trolls stick out more than they would on any other forum. Mego having so few truly iconic lines aimed at girls is probably why there are so few female collectors here unfortunately. Mego had Dinah Mite, some celebrity dolls and their lower quality Barbie knock off Candi.

The great thing about this place is how everyone comes together to share info and enjoyment of their common interests.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I like the fact that it's place where people actually have the same interests as me. In my life especially at age 39 that's rare.

I dislike the petty BS that occasionally rears it's ugly head. I however like the fact that's
it's "occasionally" as opposed to much more often in other corners of the 'net.

I also really love the fact that I've learned so much here. Not just about Megos themselves (although that's a big part of it), but I never even knew about customizing. I had no idea there were places to buy stuff to make your own figures! This opened up a whole new world of possibilties for me. It just fueled my already creative nature. I have done a few customs, and given some as gifts, which made other people very happy. I still have a lot to learn, but that's OK. I know you guys will help anyone who needs it.
