Music Question : The Jam and Style Council...

I am a huge fan of Paul Weller and have all of his solo CD's...but now I find myself looking at his stuff when he was in The Jam and Style Council. Never heard any of their songs except for a couple of live covers of some Beatles tunes that they did. Anyone out there that can give me some sort of hint of what I am in for? I know that The Jam stuff is more of an R & B slant to it, which I don't mind at all, but I've never heard any of the Style Council songs and am a little hesitant in buying any of their LP's or CD's. Thanks for any input on this subject.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
    The beauty that surrounds them
    Isn't it a pity".

    - "Isn't It A Pity"
    By George Harrison

Don't hesitate...buy all the Style Council you can. Paul Weller is a genius...however you'll notice a very political slant to quite a few of his songs.

"You're the Best Thing" was the song we played for our first dance at our wedding.

You are in for HUGE treat. The Jam are so rocking. I recommend get THE VERY BEST OF.. to start you off and spring board from there to their albums.
As for Style Council, it's more R&B and soul mod style. Very nice for that time, 80's and 90's. Very mature and lounging feel but mod style.
But I HIGHLY recommend The Jam. They helped bring the new sound of the angst youth in the mid to late 70's.
Going Underground, David Watts, In The City, Modern World, That's Entertainment, Town Called Malice, Beat Surrender, Start!(Bass lines like Taxman from The Beatles)
Not to mention they all play Rickenbackers so you get the jangle rock edge and Rickenbacker bass sound. Can't go wrong!
