Oakland residents and burger lovers

Today I went to True Burgers by Lake Merritt...a friend hooked me up...he said it was the BEST burger joint in Oakland...bar none...



I didn't believe him...I told him In N Out was the best (Nation's Giant Burgers number two)...he said...just try it...you'll see.

Well....HE WAS RIGHT!!!



THESE BURGERS ARE DELICIOUS!!!



The owners are two sous chefs...and it shows.

I ordered a burger with no cheese but with portobello mushrooms...oh man...TO DIE FOR...



These burgers are made from house ground angus beef...and the soft egg buns are awesome too...so are the fries...they are the BEST.

Their garlic sauce...

Don't walk there...RUN...you Oakland residents...the BEST burgers in town!!!

My fave Oakland burger place closed, due to the recession), but they were SOOOO good. Adam's Burgers on Lakeshore Ave. This wonderful Asian couple, Mark and Lucy ran the place and it was great! I was really SAD when they closed

Well, I used to live in San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente. (but that was High School and my early 20s). I do like Rusty's in Santa Monica, only b/c I've been there so much to see my fave band. I like Steak, seafood, Italian and Chinese. So anywhere you wanna recommend is OK w/ me.
