Chris, that is just badass, bro. I got to see the in-progress you at the Meet, so this is very cool. With all the stress I go through between my job and my wife's health and constant trips to the hospital, I'd just about given up on trimming down. You sir have inspired me. Thank you.

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Damn! That's the thinnest you've been since I've known you (which by the way, has been well over 10 years now - do you realize that it's been almost 10 years since you helped me move!?!?) Great job, man! That’s awesome!

Oh, and I failed to mention another great benefit..: That 'Runners High'...!

Man, it's the best feeling. Of the two 40k's I did, right around the 10th or 12th mile, when you're body's a 'running machine', the breathing's right, you're talkin', running with folks, it's great. Nothing beats it.

Great news Chris!!! Good luck with your 5K. Have you been doing tempo runs and speed workouts? You'll have no problem hitting a sub 24.

                            Congratulations.....that's really great.

I did the same thing a few years ago. I am 6 feet tall and weighed 232 lbs at my doctor's visit. I just decided right then and there to make a lifestyle change. I personally went low carb and eat lean cuts of meat and veggies as well as find excercise that I enjoy. I didn't set a time limit and just broke it down into small goals....lose 10 lbs...small reward...lose 10 more. A couple of years later, I am down to 170 lbs. Now that I am in maintenance; I am strict in what I eat during the week and eat what I want on the weekends. I gained 10 lbs on vacation but I'll just get strict again and it will be off in no time....it really does feel good to drop the unnecessary weight.
