She was offered the role of Mrs. Robinson in the Graduate, but turned it down and she played Olivia Walton in the series pilot for The Waltons.
Just imagine that a Mego Ma Walton could have been used as a custom Mrs. Robinson had she accepted or continued with the respective roles. -
