    What goes in your omlet?

Had an amazing omlet for breakfast, had a BOGO coupon for a breakfast today and had a kick butt omlet. It was a meat lovers with hot sausage, bacon and steak covered in cheddar cheese.Man let me tell you with those crispy homefries and toast it was great. If you find yourself in Carnegie PA swing by Barb's Country Junction Cafe. You won't be disappointed.

I like a good Denver omlette, (ham, cheese, onion, green pepper), but I used to go to this one cafe in San Clemente, (long gone), that made an amazing bay shrimp and swiss omlette w/ onions smothered in sour cream! YUM!

              I don't eat stuff like this ...

I eat 2 over easy eggs, on some HashBrowns with a few Shots of Tabasco, pepper and dash of Garlic ... or Just Hard Boil eggs ( 8mins so where the inner is yellow , not dark green ) witha little bit of pepper.

At this time of year, my omelette is merely a tomato delivery system. I fry up some onions (scallions or regular white onions) and then some Green Zebra tomatoes - the best tomatoes in the world. Wrap that into the omelette, salt & pepper, and top with some raw tomato & scallion and a little goat cheese.

                    Great thread, mi amigo!

I like a good ole' Western (Denver) Omlette. That or what my local place up the street calls a Popeye's Revenge with Spinach and Provalone.

On a side note, if anybody has a skinny kid who wants to bulk up, I went from a 160 lb kid to weighing about 220 in the Navy by eating omelettes twice a day and working out aboard ship. (Yes, my waist size went up...from a 27 to a 29.) Good way to put healthy weight on a skinny kid.

Put me down for the Western (Denver) Omlette also. My gf and I frequent Las Vegas and at one of the places we go to eat the Chef prepares them right in front of us. So you know it is good and fresh. Love those Western (Denver) Omlette's.

You don't need to go to Vegas for that...I had the same thing in the Navy and there was just as much gambling going on....
