Ending Theme Song of "All in the Family"

My friend John on Facebook found this very rare clip on youtube of Carroll O'Connor singing ending theme of "All in the Family":

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0wns...layer_embedded

John is also a big Van Morrison fan and points out that Roger Kellaway is playing piano - he played piano on 'Astral Weeks Live' dvd in 2008.

Oh wow! That was great! I've always liked the ending theme to All In The Family. Thanks for sharing that.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

That's perfection...I really can't believe how stupendously "right on" those
      lyrics are.
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

If memory serves, O'Connor was the co-writer on the song as well....

He says that in the clip.

That was great. An entertainer at his finest from an era long gone and missed.

Cool. I used to watch All in the Family sometimes as a kid. Later I found out it was based on a British sitcom called Till Death Us Do Part, and over the years I've watched some episodes of that, too.
                        Both really funny classic shows.
