What is the funniest interview you have ever seen of a rock band?

I think my choice is beyond classic. This is a small snippet of Kiss being interviewed by Tom Snyder on the Tomorrow show in 1979. Ace is clearly liquored up and freely expressing himself. I've had this interview in my collection for probably 18 years and I STILL laugh out loud every time I see it. I don't know what is funnier - Ace or watching Gene and Paul squirm.

I thought that Paul handled himself pretty well and tried to laugh and play along. Gene, however, looked like he was going to fire someone the minute the interview was over!

Haha! That was my first thought when I saw the subject before I even read the first post! If the movie "This is Spinal Tap" doesn't count because of questionable authenticity, I think this footage of Spinal Tap and Metallica should count because it was the day that the two bands shared the stage for a performance...

That's a great interview. You can definitely tell Gene is uncomfortable with Ace's behavior. Ace owns the whole interview and that makes me wonder if that's why they only included an excerpt of it on the KISSology 2 DVD. I was bummed that they didn't include the whole interview, but then Gene doesn't exactly shine in it. Maybe that's why.

The Snyder KISS interview was the first one I thought of when I saw the thread title. I too have had a copy of this for years (it was tagged on the end of my copy of their 1979 "Largo" concert bootleg VHS that I picked up back in my tape trading days). It's endlessly rewatchable for sure. I was also disappointed, but not surprised, that the entire interview didn't make it on the KISSology DVD.

Tape trading, how quaint that seems now. All the stuff I was looking for could now easily be found on youtube, via torrents, or from overseas DVD dealers. God bless the internet.
