A lot of folks may not want to really hear this, but I am actually living my dream. Very thankfully and very grateful.

Me too..!! Nearly 100% job security, NO subordinates to worry/write evaluations on, low-to-moderate 'net surfing, great co-workers..

It could pay more, but that's totally on me.. There's positions I can be working towards once I get back from Kuwait. Hopefully take over my bosses job when he retires.., and finally get that 'Weather-Domination machine' in my basement working.

Ah, government jobs.

Probably would like to own a nostalgic store....not an antique store but would buy and sell items that I think people would like without worrying whether or not I made a dime. Half of the fun would be looking at all the great stuff that comes in and out of the store.

Other than that would like to be an author. I have a few good ideas floating around in my head but haven't had the time to seriously sit down and put pen to paper.

I have my dream job too, but it doesn't pay as well as I thought it would in my dreams. Still, I'm very grateful that I've been so lucky.

No porn but thanks for the tip Seriously though for me and my current dream gig all is well but getting the money to flow like it used to (and it did once) has become such a fight. I don't ever want to stop doing what I'm doing just because of finances but there's only so many ways you can stretch a nickel before it breaks. Gotta love these paradigm shifts! Oh well, back to looking for the front of the bull again. See, I can be positive

I'd want to write. Novels, comic books, movies, using my own characters as well as the greats when the right idea hit me. Have yet to break in, and I'm surprised by how much company I seem to have in that here.

How'd I get there? I drove.

Actually, it was a combination of factors: luck, knowing people, being at the right place at the right time, and doing it for years at my own expense without making as much money as I was spending.

The really funny thing is that now I often find myself working with people who have many of the other dream jobs listed here; comic book writers and comic book artists, filmmakers, professional writers, etc. Also, a good friend of mine is a comic book store owner. I don't know how all of them ended up doing what they do for a living, but for the ones that I do know their back-story, it was a combination of factors; luck, knowing people, being at the right place at the right time, and doing it for years without making much money before they were became financially successful at it.

So one of my next goals in life is I really would like to make a big positive difference in people's lives for the better. My gf wants to open up a homeless shelter to help the needy. I am considering a multitude of things.

One would be a place to take in sheltered cats. There seems to be plenty of places that will accept dogs. The cats kind of seem to get the shaft I think. Maybe it turns many off as it has something to do with their sharp claws and sharp fangs. I dunno.

Good for you, I love it when people are happy and confident.
