Ok so what are your 5 favorite genre's of music..just curious

Heavy Metal (Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth, just to name a very few)
Alternative 105.7 The Point in Missouri
Death Metal (Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, Death Angel, Possessed, Sepultra etc.)
Old School Rap (Eazy-E, N.W.A. , Sir Mix-A-Lot, Too Short, Arabian Prince etc.)

and I guess R&B to some degree. I am pretty diversified in my musical taste. I like (can stand) a little bit of everything unless it is Jazz or Blues. Those two are definitely my least favorites.

I hate techno and 80s music, other than that I can listen to pretty much anything, but my favorite is metal

Hmmmm....

Dunno if I can narrow down any specific genres, but the things I like:

-complexity: I like it if there's a lot going on musically, and the band can bring it all together into one sound.

-novelty: I like songs that are about something, especially sonething you don't normally hear songs about.

-depth: I like songs that provide a perspective you don't normally hear, or point out things you don't normally think of.

Right now I'm going through a wierd phase of finger-pickin' rag-time type-music- I first found Stefan Grossman, but now i'm discovering music that influenced him, like-Rev. Gary Davis, Blind Willie McTell, ......also I just discovered John Fahey and am reallly liking all this old-time finger-pickin guitar stuff.....
