I'd probably keep his complete Kenner Star Wars collection for a while

I have been thinking about selling mine off and on. I just cannot seem to bring myself to do it. As you stated they were my original child hood toys and I have managed to hold onto them all these years. It is kind of tough love parting with them. A lot of great memories there.

This is very true. Some people always see things differently. I believe that it is good to talk about things like this while we can. We certainly will not have the chance to talk about these type of things "later".

My husband and I have actually spoken about this. Seeing as though we have no children and are unable to, we really don't have a next generation to leave our crap to.

So, it goes like this:

If I go, my Smurfs are to be given to my sister in case she ever has children. Anything else that is exclusively mine, that he does not want to keep, or is of high value, he's to sell with my blessing for whatever he can get for it. He's been told to come here if he chooses to sell the Megos we both collect together. The GI Joes, Big Jims, and misc... ebay or collector at a show. Whichever.

If he goes first, I've been given names of people to sell his monster stuff, his Don Post masks, His complete run of Famous Monsters, etc, his Kennedy Assassination collection. I'd probably keep his complete Kenner Star Wars collection for a while, mostly due to the fact they were his childhood toys, and it would make me feel better to have them in the house.

And I know he wants to be cremated wearing a Don Post Darth Vader mask and a black cape. (unless I can get some good scratch for that mask... then he's getting one of those Hasbro eletronic dealies crammed on his head. What's he gonna do about it?)

PJ Pants, Superman T-Shirt, and red Converse is an awesome way to go. I loved the commercial during the World Cup when they had the fanatical Mexican Soccer fan laying in a casket, face paint, cape and soccer ball in hand. I personally do not want to be buried in a suit because I never wear suits except for weddings and funerals and I don't want to wear one for my own!!!!

As for my collection. If Meule is still with us (wheeling his zimmer frame walker), I'd like him to handle the sale. If my wife is still alive, everything goes to her, minus 20 percent for Thomas. Should keep him in Megos for the rest of his life.
The proceeds (if my wife is gone), can go to the SPCA. I want them to buy big guns with it, to "humanely put down" sadistic pet owners.

You and I think a lot alike, but my husband doesn't like to talk much about these things. I want to be cremated, but we had a family member that was laid out in a "loaner" coffin that the bottom drops out and the body goes right into the crematorium. It was nice for everyone to attend a viewing, where he was in his Civil War reenactor's gear. So I told my husband that I'd like something like that, where I'm laid out in Jedi robes, and holding Mego Robin and maybe one of my favorite customs.
As for my collection, it depends on who outlives me. I've been trying to slim down the collection, as I don't have children and I don't want my niece and nephew stuck with looking through a house full of junk. My husband and I made our retirement plan. Once we're in our 70s, we're going to pack up all the toys, comics, props, etc in a trailer and travel to various conventions to sell them. I figure it will be a nice way to see that they go to good homes and talk to fellow fans of all ages. If we have any nieces or nephews that are into these things, they get to pick whatever they want for their own collections before we go.
