This past Tuesday, my Mom and I visited our local Party USA clearance store. Everything in their outlet store is usually a dollar. For lovers of theme parties, this store is like Heaven on Earth!
On our Tuesday visit, the staff was standing huddled in a corner and we soon found out they had just been notified that their outlet was closing. They then proceeded to tell us that all items were now 10 for $1.00 and that on Sunday (today) the price would be dropped to one dollar for a full shopping bag! Mom and I each spent about $7.00 on Tuesday for, what we considered to be, the good stuff. Then we returned today for the feeding frenzy.
In all, I spent $15.90 and bought 1006 items ranging from packaged costumes like Michael Jackson, Grim Reaper and Roman soldier own to single gift bows and gift tags. I averaged about 1.5 cents per item!
I am still sorting through my haul, but it contains some great items like 5 x 10 foot Superman wall murals, superhero napkins, superhero gift bags and other superhero themed party favors. Other items (20 bags of itty, bitty plastic babies) are questionable in their future use, but for 1.5 cents couldn't be turned down.
