I know we are kinda late to the party but I gotta say The Wire is probably the best television crime drama ever.

Picked up the entire series on DVD a few weeks ago.

My wife and I are already almost finished Season 4 and it just keeps getting
better and better.

Incredible writing, realistic dialogue, complex character development.

Amazing show.

If you have not seen the show, I encourage you to pick it up on DVD.

Yep, favorite show of all time. Watched 6 seasons in a little under a month.

Saw every single episode on HBO.

One can dispute whether it's the best crime drama ever...because people have different tastes...but one thing you can't dispute...it's the most realistic cop show of all times...that you cannot dispute.

If you notice...cops rarely took out their guns...and had very few shootouts...most of the gunfights were between criminals...just like in real life.

Hell yes! As soon as I saw the first few episodes I was hooked. Its one of my go to shows when there's nothing on. Great Show.

Season 6 for gold card members of the fan club, you won't belive what happens next.

Still trying to find time to watch the last three seasons. It's not like most shows which I can watch while I'm working away at the computer. Given the amount of characters and complexities of their inter-relationships, I really need to be giving it my full attention to get into it.

I'm not sure I could have watched it on a week to week basis when it originally aired.
