Has anyone seen the Back to School campaign for Target? It features parts of the song "Free To Be...You and Me" from 1974. I think it's kinda odd, yet cool in a way that they'd use this for a back to school ad in 2010. What do you think?

I listened to that song and took it to heart. But the world is more about conforming... not being individual. -
I think more and more companies are finally starting to wake up and reach back into the archives. I ahve seen a few other commercials pulling out classics from the 70's. The reason they do this no doubt is to appeal to the people like a lot of us here at The Museum that actually grew up in those times. You have to admit that it works. After all it got your attention didn't it?

....'cos you're actually marketing to the parents. "Free to be.... you and me?" *sigh* Even when I was a kid that whole program really bothered me.
