The Peanuts special is probably coming- they're releasing DVDs by decade of the Peanuts collections, and they are through the 60 and 70s. The Magic Flute came out on Laserdisc, and chasing that down might be your best hope for a good quality copy.

Smurfs and the Magic Flute will be back in print in the UK in September.

The Smurfs And The Magic Flute [DVD]: Amazon.co.uk: DVD
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I like Smurfs. I have a multi-region DVD player so I'm getting the UK version in September.

The peanuts special is still available on VHS on Amazon.com and will probably be released on DVD with their Peanuts collections as already mentioned.
