The Adams family is saying they are fake, and if they were real, the prints would be worthless because they would not be printed by Ansel.

All the experts say they are real.

Because flooding the market with original prints of his work would lower their meal ticket. Until now they've had the domination of the market. This guy would change everything. It's not like Adams printed any of the numbered lithos he sold. They were printed by a company licensed to do so. He most likely only would have printed the original photography shots.

I'm guessing the majority of the money made on his actual work didn't come until very late in his life or after his death. I'm sure his family made much more on his talent than he did.

Kinda be like owning a one of a kind Mego figure and then there is a "warehouse find" of them. Gotta love yard sales.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

I'm pretty sure if I was at that garage sale, I wouldn't have given those a second look.

Well if Adams's family doesn't want to buy them I'm sure there are a few dozen rich people in the whole world that would buy those for top dollar. Obviously the Adams family doesn't need the money.
