I was looking at another thread and it made me think back to the days when I received my Driver's license. The courses were offered at our High School so it wasn't anything you had to pay extra for but I remember we were forced to watch movies of real people who had been captured on film dead from auto accidents....stuff that is so horrific I can still remember the images in my head. I also remember one day, some students at school involved with SADD (Students against drunk driving) staged a phony car accident right in front of the school. There was a wrecked car...ambulances, firetrucks, someone pretending to be dead and bloody in the car. We were pulled into an assembly room and explained that it was staged and then a big lecture about drinking and driving. Did anyone else see the movies I'm talking about or see one of those phony staged accidents when they were in High School? I could never imagine that happening to my kids. I would think people would be lined up with lawsuits.

they've removed all the Driver's Ed classes from all the High schools I've seen here in Miami...I never took it but my sister did in 96 and they played those films for her, and they still do the fake staging every year here in schools"Time to nut up or shut up"-Tallahassee

I remember watching the BNG films (Blood and Gore) of all the gory car wrecks they could film. We spent the whole time heckling the films.
Also remember our first time out driving the coach was talking to the kid driving. The Kid was looking a the coach and talking back. The whole time the passengers in the back seat were watching the phone pole get closer and closer. Fortunately someone managed to scream in time for the coach to stomp the brakes.
