When I was younger my dad used to take me fishing for trout all the time.
Now I try to take my kids when ever we get a chance.

Tilapia (at least in MD) is not cheap and is kind of plain

In California...tilapia is one of the cheapest fish...that's why I said it was a poor man's red snapper. Red snapper on the average is about $2 a pound more expensive (and way better tasting).

...and I agree...it's a very plain tasting fish...not a big fan of it either.

Tuna, swordfish, and halibut...very expensive over here (usually double the price of red snapper)...they also happen to be my favorites...lol.
