What are fun things to do in Boston?

Anyone have any recommendations for a weekend in Boston?

Great places to eat (veggie friendly pref), live music, must-see sights?

What about geeky stuff like toy and comic shops?

I haven't been to Boston since the late 90's or early 2000's for my old employer. Take your wife to Fanneuil Hall Marketplace.

Stop by Cheers (Bull & Fintch) on Beacon Street. If you like historic stuff you'll be surrounded by it (a lot that can be seen on the Trolly Tours - which was fun). And Boston Common is a nice park to visit as well.

The one comic store I knew about in downtown Boston closed while I was out there. There is one in Reading on Main Street but it's a drive away.

I would go to Revolutionary War places

I used to shop at Comicopia in Kenmore Square when I went to school there. Just look for the big ole Citgo sign!

And of course there's Newbury Comics on Newbury st.

If you're a fan of the Tick, head over to New England Comics... multiple locations.

Take a walking tour of Paul Revere's ride and other historical joints in town. At the very least, hit Faneuil Hall... nothing like an 18th century mall! And of course Quincy Market.

For music, there is the House of Blues across the street from Fenway park... no matter what weekend you go, there's BOUND to be something happening. Also, depending on the kind of music you dig, I know Amanda Palmer (of the Dresdin Dolls) pulls ninja gigs in and around Harvard Square, usually on moment's notice via Twitter.

Food is incredible in Boston. Chinatown, North Side for Italian. Went to a great Tempura place.

There's really good dry Burritos at a local chain
