Man vs Rival Snow Cone Maker!!!

My wife got my daughters a cheap little Rival Snow Cone Maker. I take it out of the box today, read the instructions, etc. One of the instructions says to clean before first use.

Well, I get a wet rag, start cleaning the inside of it, and wham!!!!, I feel a VERY sharp edge:
