I took my son to see Despicable Me today. First off I thought it was well done , and had some very funny parts. It looks like Pixar/ Disney is really starting to get some competition from Universial/ Dreamworks , and a few other studios. Second How was this not reviewed for a kids toy line ????? The Minions were hillarious , and I can see a cool figure line for them. Universal obviously did not have high hopes for this film , otherwise I am sure they would have shopped the license. If it does well in the box office maybe some figures will come. I would love to have some minions for myself. LOL.

The only merchandise I've seen for this so far has been t-shirts with the minions on it at Target.

Very fun. The kids really love the minions. It also utilizes 3-D better than any previous movie I have seen. Stay for the end credits.Comment

Took the family on Friday, Great movie!!! We all really loved it! The minions were hysterical. The theater we saw it at had the minions in a crane. Unfortunately this particular crane was rigged not to pick up anything, it would drop and wait til it was halfway up before claw closed.
Would highly recommend movie.

Do any of the Fast Food Chains have Despicable Me tie in Toys? I saw an ihop commercial yesterday, but I don't think they have toys do they?Comment

I don't think iHop has toys, just minion themed meals, of course I'm just going by what I saw on their website.I enjoyed it, but wish I had seen it in 3-D.

My boss and I were just talking about this this morning and he didn't think that there was a master toy license signed for the movie. To our knowledge we are the only ones who made any toys. Which makes me wish I had at least kept a couple of samples, oh well.Comment
