I no longer own it. My cousin wanted it so I said SURE! Keep it!

And I really hate that song now.

I guess the most shameful thing I own are my Billy Joel LPs. I've hated him my whole life, but he wore me down over time. I can't deny his pop hook skills!

Personally, I think up until he met Christie his stuff was unreproachable.

I love that whole album. "Lo-fi" Paul rules...and the single (COMING UP) is great.

Don't feel bad. I had this movie on VHS which I considered to be part of my "closet collection". I also figured I was the only human that bought a copy since this was the 80's and the Bee Gees backlash was in full force. I always liked the Bee Gees and even though I hated this particular film, I decided to get it because it had such good footage of them in their heyday. Well move forward to early 90's. I meet my future wife. She confesses one night to loving this movie. She tells me her dad took her to the drive-in every weekend FOR A MONTH to watch it. So very sheepishly I told her I had it. Oh boy...We watched that d*mn thing so many times. Then after we had kids, THEY watched it so many times. And get this... The kids always thought Barry Gibb was ME (beard and hair I guess). I would have to fast forward past the scene where a girl gets out of the crowd to kiss Barry because my daughter would get so mad at me. "Why did you do that to mommy?" I finally told my wife we have to show them an edited version so the kids don't grow up scarred. The irony of this film continues to play out in my life.

Well, my wife bought The Brady Bunch Christmas album, so that would probably be her answer, except she isn't embarrassed - she is proud of it!

My answer would have to be Xanadu, but only because the movie was so bad. The music is actually awesome. Olivia NJ is so-so, but ELO has some of their best music on that album

There are definitely some things to look back to be embarrassed about (though at the time, they were the styles or something like that). The one record that stands out is Milli Vanilli's big album which I BEGGED my parents to buy. The only thing more embarrassing then owning it is when my brother and I had a show in the living room with a choreographed dance to the song "Don't Forget My Number".

Yeah, so, I think I win.

Slim Whitman's Greatest Hits - I kid you not. It was one of those TV deals, and I convinced my gram to buy it for me. At least I was a child.....the next on the list would probably be Duran Duran. I thought Girls on Film rocked:-(

OH..., 'Coming Up' Live ROCKS..!!!! I STILL would love to figure out how to play that. I've got both the dubbed and undubbed (with extra lyrics) live tracks from that last UK tour. I've also got those '80 Macca home movies on my iPod with Laurence Juber doing all the horn parts on guitar.. He's AMAZING..!

Yes, it's grown on me a lot in recent years, like 'Temporary Secretary', 'Waterfalls', 'Bogey Music' are all pretty good.

As for 'Majesties'.., I do know a few folks who like that album.. I remember having it on 8-track once and just playing it for hours, over and over again..
'2000 Light Years from Home' is an acid classic.. Jagger wrote it in jail.

My record, tape AND cd collection is FULL of embarassing music.

Here's a few that take the cake tho:

and if those weren't bad enough.... I didn't buy it, but I have it:

I remember in Grade 9 when I was lost and confused as to what kind of music I liked (or rather what the other kids liked and was popular) and I bought an MC Hammer album. I suspect that may be my secret shame.
