Whats your house smell like?

Sadly, rotting chicken with a hint of salmon - I forgot to take out the trash this morning. Normally, it ranges from garlic to cinnamon to cats.

The garage has the acrid smell of antique wood that is slowly being eaten by microbes, with undertones of mothballs.

Fresh baked bread because my wife is using the breadmaker. Damn I love it when the whole house smells like that. Normally, I'm guessing (hoping) our house doesn't smell like much, no pets, smokers or garbage laying around in this place.

Farts and animal feces. Way more effective than any home security system...and it keeps the relatives from dropping by unannounced (....or at all for that matter).

It's called Olfactory fatigue. It's how people end up dead after exposure to poisonous gases because after a while they no longer smell it and assume it's gone.
