    Jackson 5ive cartoon talk

Was just loitering around youtube and came across the Jackson 5ive cartoon into ...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHMZ2ffnkx8

Man, it brought back memories of getting ready for school.
I'm not sure when it originally aired, but they would play repeats in the mid 70's in the morning.

Listen to the announcer saying "The Jackson Five !!!"
To me it sounds just like Billy Dee as Barry Gordy

    BTW,
To this day everytime I hear Stop The Love You Save May Be Your Own I always think of the cartoon

    Good times

My brother and I used to watch this and the Osmonds cartoon every Saturday morning. Now I have most of the eps on tape (thanks to MTV when they ran a weekend marathon). Now I can't bring myself to watch them. Maybe someday.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I always hated this cartoon for the fact that it took the Hulk 60's toon off the air in my area. I used to wake up every Sunday morning at 7:00 to watch the Hulk and then one day, to my dismay, this came on and stayed on for years. I was totally devastated!! I would never again see that Hulk toon on tv again until the VHS tapes came out years later.

      It was an awful Sunday!!!
If you're a fan of old-school toys, toons and comics then my blog is the place for you!!!

I loved these then. I love them now. I was and still am a huge fan of the Jackson 5. I'm a big fan of Rankin/Bass animation and wish they would release this on Dvd.

Also liked the Osmonds but that one was more of a knockoff of the J5.
