When I was little, I used to call Harry Nilsson, "Nilsson Guilson" (don't ask me why, I was only 5 or 6)), and called him my boyfriend, b/c I really loved this song, (and I never knew what he looked like!) So here's to my old love:

"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I had an lcd projector, a bunch of theater seats, and my PA set up in a long rec room in my old house. The first movie we watched on that rig was Midinght Cowboy. The opening scene with the creaks and wind and then the harmonica coming in for Everybody's Talkin' still gives me chills. '

It's a shame most of the young generation think of Jump Into The Fire as "that Goodfellas song"

"The Point" Soundtrack. Very brilliant and ahead of it's time. He's a staple in our household. Just introduced "The Point" to our daughters and they LOVED it.

OH man - it's used SO well there though. I love the way that song kicks in with the bass. So good.

I believe I became a fan of Nilsson because of Popeye, and then a couple of years later through my friend who was a HUGE Monkees fan.

Seems like a lot of the coolest movies of the 90s had a Nilsson song in it, so that rejuvenated my interest.

But no matter what, this may actually stand out as my favorite:
