    A question for the girls

Tell me ladies; Is really, really loving the Three Stooges a man thing? When I'm watching the Stooges, I'm laughing my butt off,but my Wife only seems a little amused. Also "The Jerk", and "Dumb and Dumber" seem to get more reaction from men.Are us guys just a little more goofy? What do you think gals?

My older sister was a big fan of the Three Stooges (Curly era) and the Jerk -- even more than me.

I don't think comedy has a sex difference, I think it's just everyones individual tastes

My wife and I saw Dumb and Dumber in Hilton Head during the week of our honeymoon. She loves it.

naww girls are just miserable... they like nothing more than soaps. dramatics, depressing chat shows that run men down... then they get on the phone and tell there friends all about it

i love the stooges i got them on dvd some scenes are just side splitting stuff... my misses looks at me like as if my heads about to spin around and im about to vomit green goo

          Wow...hopefully you are just teasing.

I personally never could get into the Stooges. When I was a kid the Stooge shorts where lumped in with the Warner Brothers cartoons on weekday afternoons. I remember getting bored sitting through them while waiting to see more Daffy or Bugs cartoons. Couldn't stand the Little Rascals either.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

            Girls like Twilight...boys like Underworld.

While many do share the same interests...the sexes do at times differ in movie tastes as well...the data doesn't lie.

my wife hates what she calls Saturday Night Live movies.....she lumps Dumb and Dumber into that mix.
I on the other hand thought the movie was great. watched the stooges a lot as a kid but I prefer L & H or Abbot and Costello.....especially when A & C meet the monsters. great movies.

I love the Three Stooges! There's a marathon every Sunday morning that my husband and I watch while eating breakfast. I didn't care for Dumb and Dumber, but I love The Jerk. I'm not entirely sure why these were lumped into one category. I've heard it said before that girls/woman don't like Monty Python or MST3k either, but I discovered those during middle and high school and had a lot to do with the friends I've made and activities I've gotten into over the years. Then again, I've been told time and time again that I'm not a typical girl, and I have mostly male friends.

                        i dunno -
My wife LOVES Dumb and Dumber whilst I would rather shove lit matchsticks into my eyes than watch that movie.

I lumped those two movies into one category because they are specific movies that I've heard ladies call a " guy thing"......Joe

I hate Twilight. But no, I don't like as much physical comedy. But when I was a kid, I did used to watch Laurel and Hardy on Sunday afternoons. But I don't like movies like Dumb and Dumber.

And just so you know, I don't really do the soap opera thing, either.

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

How funny. Just the other day I was thinking about starting a thread about this exact subject.
