Ebay True Life 40 year old Virgin story:

My best action figure collecting buddy turns 40 next month. I was doing a search for the figure I remember when "40 Year old Virgin " came out. I found this story on the way.

    Anybody we know?

." In other words, he's dating a woman who runs a "Sell It On eBay"
store and he's selling it all so she'll finally sleep with him.
Going through 30,000 dollars worth of stuff for that?

I can guarantee it's at least "somewhat" easiier to get laid than that.

i feel sorry for him, hes blown a fortune on new star wars rubbish

you go to a store a buy a $20 doll and instantly its worth $5-$10 max

            what a waste of money

if he got that much he should donate to kids who can rip the packages open and play with them

it will take a million years for that new stuff to make anything like that kind of value

i got sucked into buying up the the orange a green flash cards back in 95+ paid from £7-£15 each for them 10 years on i sold them for around £1 a go
toy fairs here at the time had tables stacked high with them

exciting at the time as i was just wound up to see star wars in the shops again but boy what a waste of time and money that was LOL

I never bought it in the first place. The first figures I remember seeing, looked like they were on steroids. Awful...

Glad you dumped yours at the right time, man. Timing is everything...

yeah I didn't like them either, I started liking the green cards though, they had some great characters on there...I ended up meeting a woman who worked for Kenner/Hasbro and she hooked it up with some cheap stuff like the AT-AT's for $10 in the box!! sold those for $100 each and the 12" Han and Tan tan's for $10 I admit it was fun for a while, maybe some day soon i'll get back into them since you could get a sweet deal

I see NO vintage stuff in the pics. He may have paid 35k for it but if he could get one fourth in return, i'd be suprised. To sel as a lot i would say it would go for 3500 but the truth is it probably won't sell at all as a lot which makes it worth exactly zero dollars and zero cents

I spent probably close to a thousand on assorted 90s star wars stuff (embarrassingly enough)

I have sold half of it for about $200. I have yet to find new homes for the rest of it.

I have a lot of kids that could play with those toys, so I will pay him $100 for the lot, but he has to pay for shipping.

If I still lived in my childhood home, I'd be buying up that 90s SW stuff
(the 3 and 3/4th line) like the dickens... I just don't have the means to store
or display it! I love it tho' and dang if the PRICE isn't right!

Sure he didnt get much but remember the "general public" still hears that a toy is a collectable and goes nuts thinking it's worth something.

Thats why I don't score at yard sales anymore :-(.

It's the guys hobby. I didnt like them picking on him.

I love that the best we can do is " Oops ! you picked the wrong line buddy!, but Don't feel bad I did too !"

Saw a guy on Yahoo news that had a 8 grand aq year Warcraft hobby. That was just in user fees not eqipment. His apartment looked like what the batcomputer would look like. If Wayne lived in a small apartment with no space.
