About 3:30 this afternoon, I was going down the highway when a lady decided to turn left infront of me. All I had time to do was pucker (and I ain't talking about my mouth). I swerved to keep from T-boning her, hitting her in the front quarter panel, spinning her 180 deg. I went airborne and land head first in an enbankment of a ditch. I am alittle sore, though I had broke finger, but over all, OK for now, but I know I will feel it in the morning!!
Both the lady and daughter were taken to the hospital. The lady fractured her arm and was complaining of chest pains. Her daughter was bleeding from the mouth.
Funny thing is, I am a first responder and I grabbed my bag and started doing 1st aid on the lady because she was looking like she going into shock. The ambulance and police arrived in minutes and could not figure out who was driving the truck because I was busy with her.
I remember after the first initial impact, thinking, "My air bags didn't go off!", but when it hit the embankment head first doing around 40 mph, they went off.
