Darn...That is THREE things the WWE should have had first..

The first one was turning Hogan heel in WWF. That would´ve been SO much better in 93 than in WCW. Hogan had history there and not in GA. Secondly the WWF SHOULD have gotten Goldberg. THEY should have created him..

Now with Jay Lethal imitating Flair in TNA...That also should have happened in Vince´s company. It is what the WWF COULD have had when Jason Sensation was doing it way back in 98. He just didn´t have the build or the wrestling ability. I love how this Lethal Flair thing is going. Such a shame to waste it in TNA.

Hogan going heel? Worked in WCW because by the time they did it he was already getting booed. Turning Hogan heel in 93 would have been a great disservice to all the great monsters like the Undertaker, and all the great showmen, like The Million Dollar Man.

Goldberg? Eh. Vince had Stone Cold.

Lethal spoofing Flair, as great as that is... and believe me it is awesome to see the Lethal Chameleon.... Vince's been there and done that. The Nacho Man and the Huckster ring a bell? How about Gillberg? What about the man known as Eugene channeling Hogan, Macho Man, HBK, Triple H, etc...not on the mic, but where it counts in wrestling, in the ring.

Vince did ok. He won after all.

Perhaps if he had done those things mentioned he might NOT have won. Look at the WWE version of the NWO as example.

GoldBerg was Nothing Compaired to Stone Cold.
Stone Cold's Skits were far more Entertaining , and by the Time GoldBerg Came around, THAT was WCW's last stand.

I liked GoldBerg ..., at the time, but looking back on it, he was far less Entertaining than Stone Cold. All GoldBerg was , Was Batista ..., but He couldn't talk on a Mic worth a Damn.

yeah i liked Goldberg but Stone cold was one bad S O B !!

and Hogan made it awesome with the NWO thing, I don't think Vince would've gone that way

Exactly he was a cheap knock off of stone cold and that's it.
he had no charisma and no skills(look how many wrestlers he injured Bret among one). His constant spitting in the ring was enough to make me wanna puke.If I was a wrestler and had to wrestle through his lougie infested ring I'd be pretty po'ed.

Goldberg is how Ken Shamrock should have been handled in the WWF.

Goldberg was a nobody. Ken Shamrock had legit status as a fight. Imagine him being given the push Goldberg was given. That would have been awesome.

Oh, and thinking on it, besides looks there's nothing to the Stone Cold Goldberg comparison. Vince did Goldberg A LONG time before Goldberg was even a gleam... he was called The Ultimate Warrior... and he too took Hogan's championship. Only HE did it when it mattered.

One of my all time favorite stone cold moments was when he attacked vince in the hospital and hit him with the bedpan.
Also i watched the flair/lethal stuff and i haven't laughed that hard at a segment in a long time. I thought flair was going to explode.

Bill Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar...with Stone Cold as referee...

                  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLGTu6L-1S4

I didn't see this match live because that's the year I was in intensive care.

But the match itself was lame, disappointing, and pointless...obviously all three wrestlers involved where just going through an easy routine...it did not live up to expectations...the only great thing was that Stone Cold gave them both stunners at the end...lol.

Sorry...I don´t see the comparison of a LEGIT wrestler like Lethal being compared to Gillberg...Or Huckster and Nacho Man...This is not mockery or spoofing which is what they were. This is homage with a wrestler who can actually go. I think they are quite different.

And Eugene? He May be a good wrestler in real life but we didn´t see it as the character Eugene.

Your points about Shamrock'Warrior vs. Goldberg is dead on.

I DO think turning Hogan heel before he left would´ve been great. It would´ve mattered more in the WWF than in WCW.

That was by far my favorite Stone Cold moment! Hilarious. They don't have great skits like that or the Rock or DX's stuff anymore.

The last good skit the WWE had was when Stone Cold attacked Booker T in that grocery store.

BOTZ the heel turn in WCW was really shocking. Hogan had made his face presence in WCW pretty well by then (of course it did help that the 90's was alot of the same guys from 80's wwf so the history was there from a fan perspective) I was totally blindsided by it. Frankly it was the face turn in WWE when hulkamania returned that was done pooly and dragged on way too long. of course I'm glad to see the red and yellow whenever he drags himself to the ring even now

Goldberg was crap from day one. he was a lame amalgam of Shamrock and Austin and did neither character well. he made sense in the WCW fan base because he had been a falcon but as a westling fan he was nothing for me bad mic and a bad finish. he was another example of lex luger disease (a physique does not mean you can be a good wrestler), I don't like the warroir but he is just above those 2.

I like TNA's making fun of Flair's ring persona but it pales in comparison to the black machismo send up of Randy Savage

JDS, Well....I MISSED the heel turn because I never watched WCW. I was and still am a WWF loyalist. I have seen it since mind you with the help of WWF DVD´s but I think the heel turn would´ve worked better with WWF being that he was the WWF´s top guy.

In my opinion he turned heel in the wrong org. You do your best moments in the big leagues of Baseball....NOT in AAA. Hogan doing it in WCW just stinks for me.
