I knew this was a steaming pile when I saw the first trailer. I don't even know if I'll bother watching this when it hits Netflix.

Movies based on comics should try to stay true to the source material.

Hex got scared with the mark of the Tomahawk when he got bannished by the tribe that raised him.

One of the biggest things they screwed up royally as far as I was concerned.
They could have showed that in the form of a quick little snippet much like the beginning of Conan the barbarian.
start him off as a kid being raised by his abusive father traded to the natives and then off to the army/war,back to the natives, fight, scar onto the film opening scene. As for the turnbull hating him they could flashed back to when he turned himself over to the Union soldiers, the death of Jeb at the fort Charlotte massacre back to film and reasoning for Turnbulls hatred to Hex.
It could have been rather quickly done with Josh keeping you up to speed through his voice over narrative.
It seems fairly simple to me,but no they had to !@#$ with it.

It only made 5 million on its first week.

It will be on DVD in a couple of months.

I wonder if they really had to chop alot of the film to get a pg13 rating maybe when they release the dvd it will be better...LOL

                >A shame Hollywood had to do a sci-fi/horrorification on a simple western.

Maybe it’s all a prep for the “Hex” sequel?

                *crickets chirping*

                >Pathetic, worthless garbage. Period.

No; tell us how you REALLY feel....

I’m always kinda bothered by stuff like this: movies where they feel the need to monkey with all sorts of aspects of the original material. You’d think if they thought the comic was worth filming they’d.... you know.... base more of it on the comic.

                *sigh*

                >not to defend Boll

Hell; POPULAR movies are on DVD in a few months!

... It can't be that bad, with How much you Praised Avatar ..., can it ?
... Outside of the Eye Candy Effects, Avatar was the most Predictable Movie I have scene in yrs. Aspects of the Main story were amatur at best ...and left me not caring by the end of the movie, because I already scene enough Chick Flicks in my life.

Man ..., Hex must really be Bad.

Toy Story 3 is excellent. I'm avoiding Hex until DVD.

Not a fan of the super-natural angle, but when I saw two Gatling guns strapped to a horse in the commercial, the film lost me.

                          Ok,

If people in here are starting to say they'd rather see this film, as opposed to "Avatar", I think about a trillion people all over the world, REALLY disagree with you.

I saw an interview with Brolin and he said they originally had the Gatling gun mounted under the horse...
Every time hex used it he would have to get a new horse cause the old one would be missing it's front legs.
so they designed to the way you see it now.
apparently he was the only one with any sense.

The bad thing with CGI now you can do all these outrageous explosions and impossible stunts without real stunt people or real physics. Its just too over the top.

OR there is soo much going on the brain just cant process the action and it gets muddled.

I'm not sure how much they CGI'ed but both the town and train explosions are real and they are huge.Personally I think this was part of Haywards problem being his first live action film he wanted big explosions and lots of action...Well that's pretty much the movie not much else going on.

As for the brain being muddled...LOL that because of his lack of direction...LOL
He jumps back and forth,in and out,up and down.

This is the type of film where you sit back take out your brain, expectations and pre-knowledge of the main character sit back sip a coke and chomp some popcorn!!!
It's entertaining but not thought provoking or organized.
