This is interesting. The whole issue of weather or not cancer rates are actually rising is kind of controversial, from what I know. Most sources I read about cancer rates site the fact that people generally live longer contributes to cancer rates rising. Also, we identify more types of cancer now.
At the top they're saying these ingredients "may be contributing to the spiralling rate of ... metabolic disease." but I don't really see them connecting the chemicals to any disorders regarding the metabolism. I think of metabolic diseases as being things like gout, lactose intolerance, obesity - what diseases are they connecting here? Do some allergies count as metabolic diseases?
Talc - I've used corn starch powder for years because I keep hearing bad news about it. I can't tell the difference, so I might as well switch - that was my take. (YES I use baby powder! SO what?! I like feeling comfy - that doesn't make me less tough! Does it?) -
This has been around for some time now.
I even remember this back in high school so nothing has changed really. People would prefer to not hear or read about it and just move on.
My partners brother is uber strict about what he puts on his body, which brings me to the question, to stink or not to stink. He chose the stinky route and boy is he always ripe. Due to not wearing deodorant.
Also that Burt's Bees, ever since it got bought out by Clorox, their stuff is not the same anymore. More chemicals in their products. No surprise. LOL
Tom's of Maine is still okay but the very healthy in some regards.
I guess just going the smelly route is the best. Or use natural scented oils.Comment
