i generally don't post stuff on the board thart's just a plug for me, but i figured this was the audience i'm trying to reach.
i started a new blog called "Hey Kids, Comics!":
Hey Kids, Comics!
...and its a collection of people's stories about discovering/enjoying/reading comics for the first, second, fifth, or hundredth time! i got the notion that for a lot of us, the concept/memory of going to the corner candy store or drugstore and buying comics from a spinner rack is a vanishing part of america. i thought it'd be cool to collect all these stories(or pics, if you have them and want to share)in one place and everyone can compare their experiences.
its not limited to just the above, but i'm really struck by the idea of hearing how people first started with comics, what--if anything--its meant to their lives, how its affected them, etc.
so go check out the blog and see the first couple stories we have up--one from me, two from another blogger, and one from Conan artist Joe Jusko!
everyone is open to contribute if they'd like, either leave a comment with a story or email me at [email protected].
thanks everybody!
rob!
