    Anyone rememer/know these 1970's decorations???

I recall these being very common in the 70's and now, well virtually non-existent. My memory was triggered today because the pics I took below are still hanging up in my neighbor's garage from that time.

So does anyone remember or know what these types of decorations were called? It was also like those metal frames where you put the rocks in them and then cook them down into a glass design, except that these seemed to consist of melted plastic. I also remember seeing one of Snoopy as "Joe Cool"

I've been thinking about these a lot lately...I have to check my dad's basement...I'm hoping that Santa with his reindeers are still down there.

Anyone know what these are "officially" called?

I think we had Santa at one time. Aren't there Superheroes of these as well? Aren't they called "Popcorn something"?

I only know them as 'melted plastic popcorn decorations.'

Keene Silfer on the Yahoo 70s toy group knows a lot about these.

Boy, these used to be nailed to everyone's garage door for every holiday there was. Occasionally you still come across U.S. Flag ones. And for some odd reason, you will see them fastened to the grills of tractor trailer cabs.

actually though I did not take a picture of it , he does have the American flag. It was off to the right of the two hanging up in the picture.

We still have my husband's old Santa and reindeer. There might be a pumpkin around here too. I'll have to ask my mom is she has any around her house. If you ever go to the Green Dragon flea market in Ephrata, PA, there's a stand in one of the buildings that sells them.
