That's just incredibly bad..and they completely ignore his Spidey Sense which should have warned him about the boomerang to the noggin...not just once, but twice!

How about The Twisted Adventures of Felix the Cat 1995.
Would have been more appreciated in 1967 with a hit of LSD.

I always scratched my head over the Three Robonic Stooges. Apparently someone thought that the Stooges weren't funny enough as is, so it would be better if they were robots? And why "robonic", not "robotic"? Because it sounded more like "bionic", so they could take advantage of the Six Million Dollar Man's popularity at the time?

Though the weirdness was intentional, "Ren and Stimpy" had some serious What the **** moments.
Probably my favorite modern cartoon series, at least the first two seasons.

Yeah, I remember being pretty weirded out when I saw "Revolt in the 5th Dimension" as a kid, but I liked it regardless. I think the '67 Spidey series is brilliant now!

A little info on the Thing cartoon:

To quote Stan Lee circa 1985: "Norman Lear wanted to produce a Marvel cartoon via Hanna-Barbera and had mentioned he always liked the Thing. He also asked if I could come up with a way the Thing could pal around like Archie but still be the Thing when needed. I knew comics, he had the #1 show; if that's what he wanted, that MUST BE what will work!"

At least Stan knew he was out of his element....

Hanna Barbera had a serious of W T F moments when they created the Three Robonic Stooges that and the Superglobetrotters among HB's many crappy moments during the 70's
