Saw this when I was 9 3 days after opening day at the Eqyptian in Hollywood. Favorite all time since it was so dark and gritty. Favorite top 10 movie. Love how the new edition just made it more enhanced and not ruined the SPFX.

I remember being really disappointed at how it just kind of ended. I like my movies tied up nicely, thank you.

        The Empire strikes back.
1 Of my all time favorites.
Remember feeling anxiety at having to wait so long to see the sequel.

Then disapointment in the rotj installment.

I remember the ending being such a letdown (the bad guys aren't supposed to win!) and a looong wait (3 years) to find out what would happen with Han in the carbonite.

^^^ The Han in Carbonite thing really didn't sit well in my mind when I was a Kid,.. He was my Favorite, and I had thought Luke was a Cry Arse *****. Who Knew Vader was Worse.

^ Oh yeah Anakin trumps Luke as far as being a whineass.... I'd rather hear Luke talk about power converters all day long than hear 5 minutes of Anakin crying about it not being fair that he's not a Jedi

^^^ Anikan was upset, because he was not a Master.... , Jedi He was.

I remember going to see it on opening weekend, I think it was like a 1:00 p.m. show and we had to wait in a long line, which was the first time I'd experienced that, it was exciting! Everyone in line was talking about what they'd heard about the film and rumours about the ending, etc. I was only 7 years old so I was pretty jazzed. One of my main thoughts that I clearly recall after seeing the film was, "Oh man there's gonna be SO MANY cool toys coming out for this movie!!!!" And there sure was.....and I think over the next three I years I wound up owning almost every single one of 'em!!! lol

Man I was three years old when this came out. I have to say that movie made me broke.....building close a 5K on a Boba costume and went to collectors rehab after that. I stay away from all that is star wars now. Love that movie!!!

I was 9 when I saw it. The movie theater I saw it in is now a Toys R Us. Went to burger King after seeing it. when they had those funky orange things on the ceiling. That so reminded me of that room they had Chewie in on Bespin that had they loud noise come out of it. Eating there that night freaked the daylights out of me. half expected to hear that same noise in Burger King.
