    Big 12 Breaking Up?

    Jeeze....

Looks like Nebraska is really planning on bolting to the Big 10. The Pac 10 has expressed interest in Texas should that happen.

    What the heck??

Anybody from the SEC want us Okies?....because I'd be happy as heck to have my team in that Conference. I'd rather be in the SEC than the Pac 10.

I find it funny that all the talk is centered on Texas and Nebraska and no one is considering Oklahoma. Hopefully, the SEC is playing off the ball so they can snap us up.

The Big ten is Cherry picking (revenue, not tream strength.... sorry Mizzou). The Pac Ten is looking to expand to try to make it's own mega conference with it's own T.V. network, yada yada yada... It's funny, because the second best conference in the country will now be split into several mediocre conferences that still won't be able to compete with the SEC in football... Why? $ plain and simple...

It looks like Neb is heading to the Big 10. I wish we'd also grab Mizzou, Pitt, Rutgers & Syracuse. Not sure how I feel about Notre Dame. I saw speculation that a bunch of the TX schools are heading to the PAC 10, but I don't see that as a good fit.

Yea, This is really weird. I haven't read or watched much on this but I would have thought the B12 made plenty of money. I would like to see Mizzou come to the SEC, I kinda always thought they belonged here, even when they were bad.

It does, but nobody makes money like the Big Ten has since they launched the Big Ten Network. That kind of money attracted Nebraska and has caused the other Conferences to make moves to form Super-Conferences that can pull in even more money.

Last year, Texas generated more revenue than any other school in the NCAA, but with revenue sharing, they kept less money than was distributed to each of the Big Ten Schools. Nebraska kept 9 Million last year. Had they been in the Big Ten they would have gotten $22 Million.

It's a done deal now. The Big 12 is over.
