Looking at these clips it's pretty easy to see that MJ was an incredibly talented guy who obviously had a deep and profound knowledge of who came before him and was able to turn those old dances moves into something new and completely his own.

That was pretty awesome, Joe. I remember before Michael (RIP) made the Moonwalk famous, when I was in 8th grade, kids were calling this move the backslide. I even saw in this footage, the Camelwalk, which is in essence, the Moonwalk, backwards (or is that forwards?). It took me a while to learn how to do this, but I can. Well, not so good anymore w/ my bum knee.
