You can also see a replica Bruce head that was built for JAWSFEST'05 (Joe Alves was a technical consultant) by the talented Greg Nicotero who is also a die-hard finhead. Just look for my wife coming out of his mouth in this trailer for our third film...

The new Jaws seems to be my fault. Every movie, show or anything remotely cool from my childhood comes back as a comedy, and taunts me. The Dukes, Starsky and Hutch, Land of the lost, now Jaws. Stlii left to be made fun of Hollywood get your damned notepad : Blue Thunder, The Warriors, Buck Rogers, Taxi Driver, A Clockwork Orange, Planet of the Apes (though the remake was laugable), Tour of Duty, and Robotech.Comment

Yes Thomas, we've been disgusted with the fact that Bruce and the Orca boat were just left to rot. A shame that such a famous prop from the most influential film in history was not preserved. The Orca was at least part of the JAWS ride in California until it rotted and a replica was built to replace it. Bruce, however, was just left to rot in the backlot. I suspect the problem is that the Jaws movies ALWAYS went way, way, way over budget and over-schedule so when the films wrap, the crew just took off. In fact, one of the sharks from Jaws 2 was just left behind in Florida once filming commenced...we believe the head is in a film museum in Italy today.
As far as Bruce IV, that's the only shark I've ever seen in person...here's what he looked like back in 2001...

Also, there's yet another 2-hour Jaws documentary coming on BIO Channel in a couple weeks...here's an ad I uploaded to You Tube...I'm sure they will talk about what happened to Bruce during the show...

LOL! That's a rubber one KW. They used both plastic and rubber depending on the scene. Quint's death, which is what this tooth was for, were rubber.
Some other cool pics...

Lou, me and childhood friend of mine have been life long fans of Jaws since we first got scared out of our pants in '75. I literally wouldn't take a bath for like two days (seriously). It just freaked me out. BUT it also turned me into a rabid Jaws fan from that point forward. To this day I have never seen anyone who has as much cool and UNIQUE Jaws artifacts as you and your wife. Just incredible stuff!!! I think they should make a DVD just on you guys alone. I would buy it! If Steven Spielberg hasn't met you and your wife, he should. My buddy is in Chicago now and we're talking about going to one of these Jaws-fest very soon. Really looks incredible. I just wanted to say THANK YOU for sharing so much of your love for the movie. Fans like you are what keep this movie alive and well. I can't wait to see all of this unearthed footage that no one has ever seen. I would especially like to see actual footage from that one creepy shot of Jaws coming out of the water to bite down on the Kitner boy. Makes my skin crawl just to look at the still. Has got to be incredible to see as raw footage. BTW, how can I purchase all of the Jawsfest DVD's? I would love to have them. I went out to your Myspace site, but I didn't see any link to actually buy them.Last edited by MIB41; Jun 6, '10, 11:48 AM.Comment

That is awesome Lou. Thanks for the hook up. I just ordered both DVDs! To answer your question, I have heard about you guys through your own postings in this forum and the links you have attached. Speaking of Great Whites, I was up until 11 last night watching this new show on the National Geographic channel called "Expedition: Great Whites". If you don't already know about it, I would encourage you to tune in. Amazing footage! Here's the link...
