Oh, and we'd have to try to dress as 70's as possible. Hit up the thrift stores!
Rich
Hey! I have 2 prs. of bell bottoms (w/ 70s patches), a ton of Shaun Cassidy shirts, a lots of other 70s shirts. I even have a pair of Clarks Star Wars shoes and Kid Power shoes (not sneakers, but those dorky looking oxfords, I have small feet). So, I'm all set!

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
Would you let us slide across the hood "Hutch style" before we took off ?..........Second thought, scratch that idea. Some of us are so old, we could break a hip.
WOW! That is one sweet ride! They don't call you Starsky for nothing!

I try to snag K-Tel records when I see them cheap. Last time I was in Philly, I drove around some of the old places my mom used to take me. They didn't reek of '70s, but it took me back.
I do much of what you guys say but I also collect 1970's commercials and old 1970's TV broadcasts. Old TV shows are a foundation, seeing them with era appropriate commercials are the glue.
Also, I've only done a couple of these because they do take time, I've made 4 hour DVD's mimicking a typical 1970's local station afternoon of programing. Starts with a movie with vintage commercial breaks, then continues with some TV shows with commercial breaks cut in.
When I work, I can pop them in and let them go on in the background.

I know I love watching your Saturday morning tapes, Mike. When I was watching the Saturday Superstar Movie, and the J5 Alpha Bits ad came on, I almost fell off the bed! Too cool, and super-retro-ific!

OK, you guys know I need these now... What's the 411 on these things?
Mego73 and I have been doing some tape swapping. You wanna tell Sandy about your cool stuff, Mike?

I think Sharry is talking about the That Girl cartoon special shown on the Saturday Superstar Movie. It's a 1973 broadcast with the commercials. I also have a little more 1970's era Saturday Morning broadcast stuff.
Stuff after 1975 is difficult to come by by stuff before 1975 (the introduction of the betamax) is even more difficult. But it's out there due to early home video formats that the wealthy and serious TV philes had (U-Matic, Cartrivision, etc).
Get a rotary phone, and use it. That would take you back.
That's EXACTLY what I was going to say! I just got one a week ago and it rules! They're cheap and come in awesome colours. I really like the sound it makes when the phone rings too.
