I think 2001 is the biggest movie that will probably never be remade.

I'm working on that too! We're going to toss out that old boring philosophical crap and make it an action movie about Neanderthals who time travel through the monolith.

Jason Statham will play BowMan - a U.S. special opps. space marine who uses a bow and laser arrows!

Of course we will have to change the title to "3001" and Jim Carry will play HAL.

In 1983, Casablanca was made into a weekly series starring David Soul as Rick. It was canceled quickly with only 5 or 6 episodes airing.

It definitely appears that Hollywood is just about out of original ideas. If I had to choose one movie that should NEVER be touched it would be Jaws. That movie is perfect in every way. I can just see Hollywood raping it with a hip, young cast and a giant CGI shark.

It's a wonderful life has been remade and modelled for so many TV movies it's like the christmas carol

I hope they never remake the Maltese Falcon - I even disliked the STTNG homage episode The Big goodbye

I'm already working on it dude! It's going to be an Adam Sandler vehicle just called "Kane". It will be a lighthearted take on the classic tale, updated, of course. Rob Schneider will play Mr. Bernstein, John Turturro will be Mr. Thatcher and Kevin James will play Jedediah Leland - which is great, because when Kane gets all old and fat they will get into a fat-man wrestling match and roll down a flight of stairs! Hilarious!
