I never really had an opinion, one way or the other, about Bret Michaels. However, over the last couple of years, I've decided he's a pretty cool Dude. Mostly from seeing him on some VH1 specials (not Rock of Love), Nashville Star, and in interviews. Lately, with The Apprentice and the guts he's shown with his medical problems, I've decided I really like the Dude.

For some reason I've always wanted to call him Matthew and it made it to my fingers this time.

Regardless of if you and saildog have deleted ROCK OF LOVE from your
"Bret appreciation list" of projects, I'm still surprised a reality star such as Bret
has won you both (and others of our ilk) over enough to accept happily and
respectfully Bret's "near-death media explosion" with open arms and
sympathy when it just all seems so tacky to me.

Also, I'd note Hector that with the way you feel about celebs being treated
"more special" than "regular folk", I'm surprised you're so behind Bret
who has been milking his health problems in that way that I find tacky,
especially in light of the seriousness of his health problems for
millions of others who will never be given a moment of airtime let alone
seemingly exploit it to float a "celebrity" persona adrift on promotion that
the ill regular folk don't have at their disposal to buoy their spirits.

Hey, Godspeed and good wishes to Bret, if he is really in need of such
prayer laden recovery...but maybe its better off for him to recover
in private...or is this recent media coverage just a preview for
            "HOSPITAL OF LOVE"?

A lot of his stuff probably was unavoidable, but some may have been preventable... I don't think this latest stuff was triggered by Diabetes, but that's something he doesn't fully try to control so anything connected with that could have (possibly) been prevented... I mean he's said he doesn't always take his insulin because he thinks it might interfere with his sex drive, so how's that for trying to ward off any (possibly) avoidable illness?

So what do you want "letting you have it" with long posts in reply to your
"taunts" that aid in starting to ruin so many a thread.

Or would you like the short truth about how I feel about said "taunts"...
as in "You guys are clueless".

Either way, you muss up a thread to have a laugh at my expense,
                              so who cares, eh?
