24 Series Finale: Hit the Road Jack

After a sorta lackluster season, Jack Bauer has left the building...or at least the country...Once again on the run, this time from the American and Soviet governments. Seems like we've done this dance once before when he faked his own death cause the Chinese were after him and then was drawn out with the assassination of President Palmer. But in the end I guess it was a good finale....Love the final image of him on the big monitor as it becomes pixelated and Chloe tells them to shut the drone down...Tick Tick.

Goodbye Jack Bauer....I'll miss ya! Monday nights won't be the same without ya!

I remember being very taken with this show, back when it first aired. I enjoyed the first couple of seasons, but when Palmer was killed, I think the show just kinda went downhill. Dennis Haysbert is phenomenal. I'd love to work with that guy someday.

Dennis Haysbert/President Palmer was the BEST President on the show...His brother Wayne was a lame president, there was another president that when down in a plane crash (I think that's when Gregory Itzin's VP Charles Logan was sworn in as Prez), Powers Boothe served when Wayne Palmer was incapacitated, and Cherry Jones as President Taylor (the 2nd president to resign in disgrace-the first was Logan). Anyway, none of these other president compare to Palmer IMO.

I'm sad. It's currently my favorite show. Luckily, I came late to the party, and haven't yet watched seasons 4 & 5.

I've never seen one episode of this show but I know a lot of people who watched it. Just never got into it. I think there was something else on opposite when it started so I passed right from the get-go.

They haven't started airing it over here yet, but I'll definitely watch it.
I got into this quite late, didn't see the first couple of seasons, but once you're hooked, you're REALLY hooked

Jack WILL be back in a feature film....But I'm not sure how they'll bring him back "in" and if anyone else will come along for the ride. He pretty much said his good-byes to Chloe but I can't see him operating without her....she's been his "constant" since Day Two.

And I thought I've had some bad days. Dang, I wouldn't want to trade any of my worst for his typical day.

Didn't start watching until last season, and quickly went through all 6 prior seasons on DVD trying to catch up with who was good and who was bad.

Loved the season and the series, but damn, HR in CTU really sucks at their jobs.

I found the Final 2 Episodes a bit lack luster, and the fact that it dragged a bit. I hated the direction of Madam President taking with Logan and the DarkSide towards the end of this story arc,.... She was a Strong Positive character, and an Extreme force of "Good" . I thought that was lame, even if She somewhat redemed herself at the end,... it still wasn't good enough, and Her character Should Have never been Villianized. ... even more so , with her defining Character points from Last season. She was Like President Palmer, ... a good guy, that should have never been corrupted.

Walker Dying was just horrible as well.
Jack should seriously have been able to find some sorta Peace in something, rather than pushing the character to even a darker place, ... where he never, ever finds closure.

I guess with Cloey Heading CTU ..., and Freddy Prince Trying to pull off being a bad Arse, they ran outta story to write, so perhaps this is a good thing that the series ended.


However,... Nice rebound on the show, bringing in Micheal Manson for a bit. I liked that.
No Tony, was lame.


BTW ..., Now I have nothing to watch on TV Every week but Raw, ...., I feel relieved,... but yet disapointed as well.... I guess there is only 3 Months till Football season to look forward to.
