Will he look in the mirror and see an ape version of Norman Osbourn? "It's your fate Harry. HA HA HA!" I think I'll bring my Gobby action figure to the theater... No. Just kidding folks.

Is he the monkey or the scientist? Either way, I am looking forward to the film itself.

CGI Apes. I'm gonna pass on this.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

The effects team WETA Digital, who wowed moviegoers with their work on "Avatar," will reportedly use photo-realistic apes and not actors in costumes for the movie.

          That ruined it right there.
I don't even need to read any further

If they use CGI to make the apes look realistic to look like modern day apes the show will be another Lance Link

If the apes don't look like the ones from the classic movies, no one will care. It doesn't sound like they learned anything after the last debacle.

Pass for me too. Someone needs to tell Hollywood that most prequels don't work.

We've already complained on the Sci-Fi board. As Jessica says, it's gonna suck and blow!

'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I will walk in to the dim theater, popcorn (medium) and a large Diet Coke (Upgrade that popcorn to a large for an extra .50 cents sir? "Sure why not!?")
I will sit down with no expectations whatsoever and think to myself, "Be it good or bad, it's still APES! I will take whatever is given to me. I might only see it once, but I will see it! The rest falls on pop culture.........

So it isn't that the apes evolved into more intelligent creatures, it was our own destructive urges that uses genetic engineering to create them? What's next, Rise of the Hamsters? Oh wait, I might have seen that on the SyFy channel a few weeks ago.

i will see it irregardless. no expectations other than it is POTA. Like Lepage i will always give an apes movie a chance and let it stand on it's own merit.
                            .
i even like Burtons movie for what it is. it will never replace the original series for me but it is still a fun movie
