    Good Vibes Favor Needed.

If you would, I'd appreciate some prayers, good thoughts, crossing of fingers and the like for us folks here in Oklahoma. We have a major tornado outbreak in process and while it hasn't hit any populated areas as of yet, it is getting way more than dicey. In fact, this could get pretty major because we have had multiple tornadoes and it is just getting started. Now, they are lining up to move right toward heavily populated areas.

They just showed a shot of a major highway and it was clogged with Storm Trackers from all over heading in because this kind of thing is what they dream about and they are getting their wish today.

Thanks, Dude! They made it past OKC and they seem to be coming down in intensity and the threat of further tornadoes is going down by the minute. Still a lot of wind and hail and occasionally one pops out, but hopefully, by the time they approach Tulsa, they will just be some rain and lightning.

Been a lot of tornadoes for one day, but as long as no body gets killed, the other stuff can be replaced.

Just talked to my folks and their farm was okay. So far, the heaviest damage being reported was to the town you can look out on from their place, but their horses and the cattle out there were fine.

My Dad said they passed some torn up out-buildings and an overturned semi on the highway.

Gotta say, I was worried as heck for them for a bit because that was a monster storm being shown on live TV. I knew right where it was, too because the video was crystal clear and I could pick out landmarks that are right around where they are.

Everything is cool for now, but this is the third time in ten days we have had to be hyper-vigilant.

I spent seven years in hurricane country and while they are far more destructive, you at least have a few days to secure your property and hours to bug out if need be.

However, I gotta say, we are so used to these things here and we have the absolute best meteorologist in the world camped out in our back yards. You wouldn't believe the weather resources that have been set up here. We have known today was going to be significant since Monday. I started out the day hearing, "today is one of those days where you will need to be weather aware". All three of our main TV Meteorologists were advisers and appeared in the movie "Twister". Plus, the terrain is so flat and the roads are laid out in perfect 1 mile by 1 mile squares so the chasers can get right up on a tornado and then peel off at the last second. We have the most sophisticated radar, eyes right on the storm, and all of it is broadcast in real time.

Those are the reason why you can have a big outbreak here with minimal to zero fatalities. As long as nobody dies, the rest can be rebuilt.
